About Engelberg
Engelberg grew up around its monastery and is about an hour’s drive from Zurich Airport. The ski area runs from about 1,000 m to 3,020 m on Titlis.
The skiing
There are 82 km of slopes and 24 lifts. The Rotair, the world’s first rotating cable car, climbs to the Klein Titlis station, where there is glacier access. The high glacier runs suit advanced skiers. The main winter season runs from December to April, though the glacier can sometimes be skied from October to May.
