What counts as powder then bluebird

A ski resort appears here when at least two of the three weather models we use forecast 10 cm or more of snow at the top lift over the one or two days before a day the models grade Bluebird or Sunny. Bluebird means at least two models clear over the ski day, none overcast and no rain or snow; Sunny means mostly clear skies and a dry day. The snow amount is the middle of the model range summed over those days.

Resorts are ranked by how that clear day grades as a ski day: fresh snow, sky, wind and temperature out of ten. Every resort page shows the same grade for each day of the week and names the best one.

For heavy snow on its own, see the powder alerts. For where it is snowing right now, see where is it snowing.
