Lake Louise is one of three ski areas in Banff National Park, alongside Sunshine Village and Mt Norquay. People have skied here since the 1920s, and the first lift was built in 1954.

The resort reports 170 named runs across five mountain faces, with a vertical of 991 m and a longest run of 8 km. It hosts FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races.
